Jungle GastroBar Cancellation Policy: Your Booking Guide

When booking a table at Jungle GastroBar, understand that cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will incur a charge equivalent to the full booking deposit. This policy is in place to respect the time and resources our kitchen and staff dedicate to preparing for your experience.

Deposits are typically 50% of the estimated bill, securing your reservation. Should you need to cancel or modify your booking, please provide at least 48 hours notice to receive a full refund of your deposit. No-shows are also subject to the full deposit forfeiture, as we are unable to fill the table at short notice.

In the rare event that Jungle GastroBar must cancel a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather that makes travel unsafe or impacts our ability to operate, you will be notified immediately and offered a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule. We do not typically offer refunds for weather-related cancellations initiated by the guest within the 48-hour window, as we remain open and prepared to serve unless conditions are exceptionally severe.

For added security, especially if your travel plans are uncertain or involve significant pre-payment, consider purchasing travel insurance. This can cover non-refundable costs if you need to cancel for a covered reason, such as illness or unforeseen emergencies. Many premium credit cards also offer built-in trip cancellation and interruption insurance, which may cover your deposit or full payment for Jungle GastroBar if specific conditions are met.

Review your credit card benefits guide to understand the coverage details and claim procedures. Relying solely on chargebacks is a last resort and typically reserved for situations where services were not rendered as promised, which is unlikely if you simply need to cancel within the policy's timeframe.

If your plans change and you find yourself unable to make your reservation at Jungle GastroBar within the cancellation period, explore options for transferring your booking. You might be able to gift the reservation to a friend or family member traveling to Playa del Carmen. Some guests have also had success contacting the restaurant to see if the reservation can be rescheduled for a different date, especially if you are a repeat visitor or have a compelling reason.

While reselling reservations is less common for restaurants than for events, it's worth considering if you have a confirmed booking you cannot use. Always communicate directly with Jungle GastroBar to discuss potential solutions before your reservation time.
