Wi-Fi at Xambé Tulum is generally functional for basic tasks like email and social media, but speeds can fluctuate significantly. During our stay, we found the connection in the room to be adequate for video calls in the morning, but it struggled with larger file uploads by midday.

The common areas, particularly the lobby and restaurant, often offered a more stable connection, though finding a quiet spot to focus can be challenging when the hotel is busy. For critical work requiring high bandwidth or unwavering reliability, consider supplementing with a local SIM card or planning your most demanding tasks for off-peak hours.

Dedicated workspaces are essentially your room's desk or a table in a common area; there are no separate co-working rooms. This setup demands flexibility from digital nomads who are accustomed to more structured work environments.

While Xambé Tulum offers a beautiful setting, venturing out for a change of scenery and a more robust Wi-Fi signal is often a good idea. A short walk along the beach road brings you to several options. Mezzanine by La Zebra, an SLH Hotel, has a chic Thai restaurant and bar where you can often find a spot to work, provided you're a patron.

Further down, Zamas Hotel provides a stylish beachfront setting with a restaurant and bar that can accommodate laptop users, especially during off-peak hours. Dune Boutique Hotel Tulum, also adults-only, offers a laid-back open-air restaurant that can serve as a temporary workspace.

These spots offer a different vibe and often a more reliable internet connection than some of the smaller, more remote properties.

For stays extending beyond a week, Xambé Tulum requires some planning. Laundry services are available, though they can be costly and take a day or two. Grocery shopping for snacks or breakfast items means a trip into Tulum town, which is a taxi ride away.

There isn't a full-service gym on-site; however, many guests utilize the beach for morning jogs or find local yoga classes. If a gym is a non-negotiable, you might need to factor in travel time to a facility in town. The property's intimate size means amenities are focused on relaxation rather than extensive facilities for extended self-sufficiency, so pack accordingly or be prepared to explore.
