Alternatively, Merida, Yucatan's colonial capital, provides a rich cultural experience with its architecture, cuisine, and proximity to other Mayan sites. For longer distances like Merida, consider a domestic flight for a significant time saving. Private transfers are an option for convenience but come at a higher cost. For shorter trips to places like Mercado 28, local buses or taxis are readily available from most tourist areas.
