Cancun Compass respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe that content on cancuncompass.com infringes your copyright, you can send us a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent Mexican copyright law.

How to file a notice

Email a notice to copyright@cancuncompass.com with:

• Your full name, postal address, phone number and email.
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
• The exact URL(s) on cancuncompass.com where the material appears.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We review every valid notice and typically remove or disable access to infringing material within 5 business days. We may also notify the user who posted the material and, if appropriate, terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including your contact details, the removed URL(s), and a statement under penalty of perjury that you consent to jurisdiction of the applicable courts.

False claims

Filing a false or misleading notice can create legal liability. Please make sure your claim is genuine before submitting.
