Cancun Compass
Accessibility

Everyone should be able to plan a trip here

We build Cancun Compass to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, and we treat accessibility barriers as bugs with a real priority, not as a nice to have.

What we do

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and skip friendly structure on every page.
  • Keyboard access for menus, filters, forms, dialogs and the trip planner.
  • Visible focus states and contrast checked text in both light and dark themes.
  • Alt text on meaningful imagery and labels on every form field.
  • Responsive layouts that work at 200 percent zoom and on small screens.
  • Reduced motion respected for users who set that preference in their system.

Known limitations

Some third party content we embed, such as booking widgets, maps and partner ticketing, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. Where that happens we aim to provide a phone number, an email or a plain text alternative so you can complete the task another way.

Accessible travel in Cancun

Accessibility on the ground varies enormously here. Our concierge can check step free access, pool hoists, beach wheelchairs, transfer vehicles and dietary requirements with a specific hotel or operator before you book, rather than leaving you to guess from marketing photos.

Telling us about a problem

Email hello@cancuncompass.com with the page address, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five working days and to fix confirmed barriers in the next release cycle.
