Build the travel platform Cancun deserves

We are a small, locally rooted team building the planning layer for Cancun, Tulum and the Riviera Maya. We hire people who actually know this coastline, or who can build tools good enough to keep up with the people who do.

How we work

  • Local first. Nothing gets published as fact unless a human or a verified source can stand behind it.
  • Bilingual by default. English and Spanish carry equal weight across the product and the team.
  • Remote friendly, Cancun anchored. Research, community and partnership roles need boots on the ground.
  • Fair pay in pesos or your currency, flexible hours, and credit on the work you produce.

Open and rolling roles

We hire continuously rather than in bursts. If a role below is filled when you write, we keep strong applications on file for the next opening.

Local research contributor
Cancun based, part time
Visit restaurants, beach clubs, cenotes and hotels, verify prices and opening hours, photograph what is really there and file honest notes we publish with your name on them.
Bilingual community host
Cancun based, part time
Run the expat and local calendar, welcome new members, moderate the community wall and help venues list their events in Spanish and English.
Travel editor, Riviera Maya
Remote, contract
Own guides for a region such as Tulum, Isla Mujeres or Playa del Carmen. Fact check, refresh seasonal detail and keep our advice better than the guidebooks.
Full stack engineer
Remote, full time
React, TypeScript and Postgres. You will work on search, the trip planner, the events platform and the data pipelines that keep tens of thousands of pages accurate.
Partnerships lead
Cancun based, full time
Sign hotels, tour operators and restaurants onto verified listings and the VIP discount programme, and keep those relationships fair to travellers.

If you know this coastline, this industry or this stack better than the roles above suggest, tell us what you would own and why it matters.

How to apply

Send an email to careers@cancuncompass.com with the role in the subject line, a short note on why you are a fit, and anything you have made: writing, code, photography, an events community you ran. No cover letter templates needed. We reply to every serious application.
