Community beach cleans across Cancun and the coast
Two hours, a pair of gloves and a stretch of sand. Our community cleans are open to residents, expats and visitors, they are free, and children are welcome with an adult.

A long, wild sandbar where currents deposit ocean plastic and abandoned fishing line all year.

Directly in front of a protected reef, so what stays on the sand does not end up on the coral.

Quieter, harder work, and the highest impact per bag because mangroves trap and hold debris.
How to join
- Find the next clean on the events calendar and mark yourself as going.
- Add how many people are coming with you so we bring enough bags and gloves.
- Arrive at the meeting point. Wear closed shoes, bring water and a hat.
- Collect for about two hours, then help sort recyclables before we weigh the haul.
We post every clean in English and Spanish, and we send a reminder the day before to everyone who has signed up.
For businesses
Hotels, dive shops, beach clubs and restaurants can host a clean with us. You provide the meeting point and some water or coffee, we bring the people, the bilingual promotion and the coverage on the site afterwards. Sponsorship pays for gloves, bags, grabbers and waste disposal, and we publish exactly what it funded.
