Cancun Compass Charity Push

A Christmas dinner. A child's present. A little kindness, close to home.

Neighbours helping neighbours

Let's help families enjoy Christmas, support people without a home, and fill a few shelter bowls.

Friends, locals and expats: you're all invited. Items are preferred. If life is too busy, a money contribution can help us shop for you.

Both options go straight to Craig on WhatsApp.

Cancun is my home. Giving back matters.

I'm Craig Crawford. For more than ten years in the UK, I helped give back to my community. Now I live in Mexico, and that commitment comes with me.

As an immigrant, I believe it's my responsibility to contribute to the country I call home: to give, not just take, and stand beside people who need support.

That's what I want Cancun Compass to stand for, too. This Christmas is a beginning, with beach cleans, homeless support and more community work to follow.

Whether you grew up here or made your home here, let's give something back together.

This is a community appeal organised by Craig Crawford through Cancun Compass. We are not presenting it as a registered charity or promising tax-deductible donations.

What you can donate

Non-perishable food

Rice, pasta, beans, cooking oil and canned food. Sealed, in date and undamaged.

Christmas dinner ingredients

Help a family share a festive meal. Sealed, in-date ingredients are welcome; we'll confirm what's needed before you shop.

Clothes and toys

For men, women, boys and girls. Clean clothes and complete, safe toys, new or used. Nothing broken, torn or damaged.

Baby care

Sealed diapers or nappies, wipes, baby food and formula. Ask us about sizes and types first.

Toiletries

Unopened soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, sanitary products and shaving supplies for men and women.

Pet food

Good-quality, sealed, in-date food. Check the shelter's needs with Craig before buying.

If it's broken, please don't donate it.

Please offer items you would be comfortable giving to your own family or pets.

Arrange your donation with Craig

  1. Message Craig with the items, quantities and condition. Photos help.
  2. Wait for confirmation of what we can accept and where to hand it over.
  3. We'll agree the handover directly. Collection points, dates and recipients are not yet confirmed.

Places we're considering

Potential recipients, not confirmed partners. We'll check their current needs before arranging deliveries.

  • Albergue Para Transformar Vidas "Maria Loreto Leon Beltran"

Cancun's municipal street shelter in SM 228. Local reporting mentions food, cleaning supplies, clothes, sheets and towels.

  • Isla Animals

Its Oasis shelter near Cancun publishes requests for animal food and everyday supplies. Visits and drop-offs require an appointment.

  • Tierra de Animales

The sanctuary near Leona Vicario lists animal food and materials among its in-kind donation options.

We're also identifying families and children's homes. Arrangements will be confirmed first, and children's personal details will stay private.

Prefer to contribute money?

Items come first. Too busy or too far away? Contribute money and we'll buy needed supplies on your behalf.

Message Craig to agree the amount and payment method. Online payment is not open yet; any fees and intended use will be explained first.

Receipts and where it went

  • Purchase receipts showing what your contribution bought.
  • Where items were delivered, with recipients' privacy protected.
  • A clear explanation of fees and any unspent balance.

No completed purchases or deliveries are being claimed here. Verified updates will be added as the appeal progresses.
